Environment in Mind
Services
My services include comprehensive Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) as per Ontario Regulation 153/04, designed to identify and address potential environmental concerns associated with property transactions and development projects.
My services also extend to assessing aquatic sites, including sediment and surface water evaluations, ensuring the protection and sustainable management of vital ecosystems.
Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
Our Phase I Environmental Site Assessments are conducted in full compliance with Ontario Regulation 153/04. This assessment involves a detailed review of historical records, visual site inspections, and interviews to identify potential environmental concerns. The goal is to evaluate the likelihood of contamination and determine the need for further investigation. Key elements of this phase include:
- Comprehensive historical data review
- On-site visual inspections
- Identification of Areas of Potential Environmental Concern (APEC)
- Regulatory compliance verification
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
When contamination is suspected, our Phase II Environmental Site Assessment provides detailed site investigations, including soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling. This phase is designed to confirm the presence, type, and extent of contamination and assess the potential risks. Our services adhere strictly to Ontario Regulation 153/04 requirements, ensuring precision and regulatory compliance. Key features of this phase include:
- Subsurface investigations
- Soil, groundwater, and sediment analysis
- Risk evaluation and reporting
- Development of remediation recommendations
Contaminated Aquatic Investigations
Aquatic Studies
Our specialized aquatic studies cater to the assessment of sediment and surface water quality, addressing contamination in aquatic environments. These studies are conducted in line with the “Framework for Addressing and Managing Aquatic Contaminated Sites” under the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) V2.1. Our services include:
- Information Gathering: Compilation of existing data and site-specific information to establish baseline conditions.
- Screening Assessments: Preliminary evaluations to identify potential areas of concern.
- Detailed Site Assessments: Advanced analyses of sediment and surface water to determine contamination levels, ecological impacts, and potential remediation strategies.
Our integrated approach ensures environmental integrity while aligning with federal and provincial regulations. Contact us to learn more about our tailored solutions for environmental site assessments and aquatic studies.
